Like many people around the globe, Maureece is a big fan of the hit series ‘La Casa De Papel’ – in which the Italian protest folk song ‘Bella ciao’ features frequently. Lots of versions in different genres have cropped up in recent years, and it’s become common knowledge that it had been adopted as an anthem of the anti-fascist resistance by the Italian partisans in the 1940s.

Intrigued by the backstory, convinced by the instant earworm quality of the tune, Maureece just had to make his version: A surprisingly appropriate rendition as anthemic dance pop in a concise two-and-a-half minute version and a more mixable DJ-version. Bella ciao!
