For way too long veteran producer Tonal Verges has let us cool our heels since his EPs for SOP and ZUUR – but now the wait is over: Four tracks of analogue sounding, profound and doomed electro techno and a concept that relates to Twin peaks obviously. Tonal Verges kicks it off slow and lurching, with razor-sharp hi-hats, belching bass and alluring melody lines, tapping deep into the consciousness of electro techno history with a nod towards Detroit; and it’s with “The White Of The Eyes” that more sturdy beat patterns fly in, catering for massive crossover potential with contemporary industrial techno and doomcore.
