[DI.XIX] Paranoid Movement – Shift
A good year after his full length – that raised the bar quite high – the Paranoid Movement continues: Four tracks that document a shift, a meeting of kindred spirits, a life-changing encounter. A story conveyed through sound, as upon the foundation of airy halfstep beats there’s a bunch of electronica and warm bass throbs, vibrant and, yes, positive. Arguably the least dark Dark Industry release, but who cares when you get that emotional depth as in “Remnant Memories of a Past Existence“, created by a haunting, minimal piano line, only a fragment really, that accompanies the metronomic skeleton.
As reduced as it gets, but full-on heartfelt authentic music for those in the know!
