[DD14099] Corner – Human – Machine
Artificial Intelligence, implants that facilitate the crossover of the human mind and the engineered, and of course the Kraftwerk reference: Such are the topics Victor Mihetko has chosen for his massive debut album, clocking in at over two hours. “Human – Machine” is a rhythmic tour de force, picking up the clues from his previous four EPs and combining them for a truly herculean creation.
Fuelled by a constant hum of machines, mechanical distortion and shredded melodies and acid lines, all tracks will work for body and mind, pushing on with banging kicks, and drops as deep as the grand canyon. One feels the diligence that has gone into sound design – thus producing something which is highly original and sits in the Bermuda triangle of industrial techno, doomcore and hardcore.
The CD version collects 10 out of the 20 tracks, arguably the more club-friendly half of them – a choice that is nearly impossible anyway, considering the constant quality level of everything Corner!
